Apprion Names Chris Seaman To Head Market Development
Leading Provider of Managed Industrial Wireless Solutions Taps Executive with Deep Technical and Process Management Experience

Moffett Field, California - July 18, 2006 - Apprion, the pioneer of managed industrial wireless solutions for manufacturers, today named Chris Seaman director of Market Development. Seaman will be responsible for growing business opportunities in the process manufacturing industry, focusing primarily on the oil, gas, chemical, and energy markets.
Seaman brings to Apprion nearly 25 years of broad industry experience, including leadership delivering enterprise-level software solutions to process manufacturing customers, managing industrial applications and systems as a plant operations manager for Celanese Chemical and working as a process engineer for Exxon Chemical.
"Chris will play a key role in sustaining Apprion's business growth through his deep domain expertise in the industrial chemicals industry, combined with technical and market development experience for enterprise software and other technology solutions," said Stephen Lambright, Apprion's CEO. Seaman most recently provided consulting services to the process industry, including for a major petrochemical company. Prior to that, he worked in various leadership capacities involving marketing, sales, channel partner and business growth at Aspen Technology, a leading software and professional services company for process companies; Baytek International, a provider of business automation and technology software solutions; OSIsoft, Inc., a leading provider of performance manager software for the process manufacturing, life sciences and utility industries; and, Pavilion Technologies, an empirical data modeling control software company.
Prior to that, Seaman was a plant operations manager at Celanese Chemical, the global provider of bulk and specialty chemicals, where he was responsible for all aspects of production facilities at the Pampa Plant. He began his career as a process engineer at an Exxon Chemical facility in Houston, where he was promoted to the Acquisitions group responsible for international transactions around the acquisition and selling of direct and joint-venture chemical facilities.
In addition to his background as a plant operations manager and chemical engineer, he has been responsible at various companies for growing software services and solutions sales by high double-digit percentages, reducing licensing costs, defining new markets and delivering solutions to them, and building successful market development organizations,
He earned a Masters of Science degree at San Jose State University, where he majored in Chemical Engineering.
