The first ever industrial wireless network appliance, Apprion IONizers provide an expandable software and hardware platform that goes beyond the standard functionality of network access points and routers. IONizer's flexible architecture is capable of supporting dozens of network configurations. This flexibility means that as new applications, sensors, or systems are added to the network, the IONizer's modular design enables easy upgrades and integration of new network additions. Because they control access to the backhaul network, IONizers can also consistently implement security and performance policies across the network.
Apprion's IONizer and IONosphere are integral parts of the ION System. IONizers can enable, restrict, meter, prioritize, and route access to the backhaul wireless network based on policies they receive from Apprion's IONosphere. Apprion's IONosphere manages all IONizers in the wireless infrastructure to secure the network, prioritize and route messages and enables a scalable architecture to allow multiple device types in one integrated network.
